BODAS DE PLATA DE ORDENACIÓN SACERDOTAL
CELEBRACIÓN DE LOS FRAILES EN MALAWI
El domingo 13 de agosto de 2023, la Delegación de Malawi fue testigo de la celebración del Jubileo de Plata de tres hermanos, Philbert Namphande, Alvaro Marin y John Paul Nampota. Los tres han cumplido 25 años en el sacerdocio.
La celebración tenía como objetivo ofrecer acción de gracias a Dios por las bienes que les ha otorgado durante los últimos 25 años en el sacerdocio.
La Misa fue presidida por Fray Philbert Namphande. Fray Ludovic Bafuta fue quien predicó. El Evangelio del día fue según Mateo, Mateo 14:22-33. La celebración fue engrandecida por la presencia de visitantes de diferentes lugares. El conjunto coral de Chiphaso también colaboró, añadiendo esplendor al evento, al liderar el canto durante la Misa con sus melodías edificantes y su conmovedora actuación.
Los frailes Philbert Namphande y Paul Nampota fueron ordenados el 6 de junio de 1998 en la parroquia de Kapiri-Malawi por el difunto arzobispo Tasizius Ziyaye. El lema de ordenación para el P. Paul Nampota era de Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús, "me parece que si una pequeña flor pudiera hablar, diría simplemente lo que Dios ha hecho por ella, sin tratar de ocultar sus bendiciones". El P. Phibert Namphande tomó como lema de su ordenación el versículo 4:4 de la carta de San Pablo a los Filipenses, que dice: "Alégrate siempre en el Señor; y otra vez digo: Alégrate". Por otra parte, fray Álvaro Marín fue ordenado el 18 de abril de 1998 en Calahorra, la Rioja, por el obispo Ramón Bua Otero. Para su lema tomó el salmo 89 donde dice: "Cantaré para siempre las misericordias del Señor".

CELEBRATION OF THE FRAIRS IN MALAWI
On Sunday 13th August, 2023 the Malawi delegation witnessed the Silver Jubilee celebration of three Friars, Philibert Namphande, Alvaro Marin and John Paul Nampota. The three have clocked 25 years in priesthood. The celebration aimed at offering thanksgiving to God for the graces He has bestowed on them for the past 25 years in priesthood.
The Mass was presided over by Friar Philbert Nampande. Frair Ludovic Bafuta was the one to preach. The Gospel for the day was according Matthew, Matthew 14:22-33. The celebration was graced by visitors from different places. Chiphaso joint choir spiced up the event by leading in singing during the mass, their uplifting melodies and soulful performance added color to the event.
Friars Philbert Namphande and Paul Nampota were ordained on 6th June 1998 at Kapiri Parish-Malawi by the late Archbishop Tasizius Ziyaye. The ordination motto for Fr Paul Nampota was from St Therese of the Child Jesus, “it seems to me that if a little flower could speak, it would tell simply what God has done for it, without trying to hide its blessings”. Fr Phibert Namphande took the motto of his ordination from the letter of St Paul to the Philipians 4:4 which states, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice”. On the other hand Friar Alvaro Marin was ordained on 18th April 1998 at Carraora, la Rioja by Bishop Ramon Bua Otero. For his motto he took psalm 89 where it states, “I will sing forever the mercies of the Lord”.
