La Delegación de Malawi ha sido bendecida en este año 2023 con la Profesión Solemne de dos frailes. Sus nombres son SELSO MAGWAZA y BLESSINGS ANDREA SILIYA. El hermano Selso Magwaza viene de Lilongwe. Hizo sus estudios de filosofía en el Seminario Mayor de Kachebere y el postulantado en Balaka. Hizo el noviciado en Kapiri y estudió Teología en el Teresianum de Roma. El hermano Blessings Andrea viene de Lilongwe aunque es oriundo de Mangochi. Hizo el postulantado y la filosofía en el Instituto Intercongregacional de Balaka. Tras su noviciado en Kapiri fue enviado a estudiar Teología al Teresianum de Roma.
Los dos frailes hicieron la Profesión Solemne el 14 de diciembre de 2023 en la Parroquia de Kapiri, y recibieron el Diaconado en la misma parroquia, el 16 de diciembre. En ambas ocasiones disfrutamos de la presencia de su Revenrencia George Desmond Tambala, OCD, Arzobispo de Lilongwe. Muchas personas se acercaron a compartir y celebrar el acontecimiento. Padres de los frailes, familiares, amigos y feligreses de Kapiri. Ambos acontecimientos fueron seguidos de encuentros fraternos en los ambientes de la Parroquia de Kapiri.
En la actualidad, Selso Magwaza ayuda en el postulantado de Balaka. Le acompañan los hermanos Nestor Mtiwa y Philp Malenga. Es también el director de la promoción vocacional en la región Sur de Malawi. Por otra parte, Blessings Andrea está en la comunidad de Kapiri, atendiendo la parroquia. Sus compañeros son Augustine Matola, Arme-Williams Chimsewu y Lawrence Nazombe. Blessings es también el promotor vocacional en la región de Malawi central y el norte del país. BLESSED WITH TWO DEACONS
The Malawi Delegation in this year 2023 has been blessed with two Friars who have made their Solemn profession. The names of the Brothers are Selso Magwaza and Blessings Andrea Siliya. Selso Magwaza hails from Lilongwe. He did his philosophy studies at Kachebere Major Seminary and postulancy in Balaka. He did noviciate at Kapiri and studied Theology at Teresianum in Rome. Brother Blessings Andrea hails from Lilongwe though originally is from Mangochi. He did postulancy and studied Philosophy at the Inter-Congregational Institute in Balaka. After his noviciate in Kapiri he was sent to study Theology at Teresianum in Rome.
The two brothers had the Solemn profession on 14th December 2023 in Kapiri Parish and Diaconate on 16th December 2023 at the same Parish. Both occasions were graced by His Grace George Desmond Tambala, OCD the Archbishop of Lilongwe Archdiocese. Many people came to witness the occasions. They included parents, relatives, friends and the parishioners of Kapiri. The two events were followed up by the get together at the Kapiri Parish Hall.
Currently Selso Magwaza is serving at Balaka postulancy. He is in the company of the other Brothers Nestor Mtiwa and Philp Malenga. He is also the vocations director for the Southern region of Malawi. On the other hand Blessings Andrea is serving at Kapiri Parish. He is in the company of the other Brothers in the names of Augustine Matola, Arme-Williams Chimsewu and Lawrence Nazombe. He is also serving as the vocations director for the Central and Northern regions of Malawi.
