DE TODOS LOS FRAILES CARMELITAS DESCALZOS
DE MALAWI

Tras la Asamblea annual de enero de 2024 la Delegación Provincial del Carmelo en Malawi tuvo otro encuentro relevante del 11 al 15 de marzo de este año 2024. Este congreso tuvo lugar en la region central de Malawi, en la capital, en una Casa de Retiros de las Hermanas Carmelitas de Luxemburgo, dentro de la Archidiócesis de Lilongwe.
El encuentro fue moderado por el padre Ajay Oswald Nazareth, OCD, de nuestra Provincia, y fue orientado bajo el tema “La Amistad con Dios según Santa Teresa de Jesús: cómo ser liberados de nuestras ataduras y cómo acompañar a la gente en este proceso liberador”.
Durante estos días hemos afrontado varios elementos importantes dentro de nuestra vida como carmelitas, como la Amistad con Dios, el desapego o desasimiento, la libertad interior, la caridad, y el modo en que debemos acompañar a las personas en nuestro apostolado.
Las cinco comunidades que abarca la Delegación de Malawi tomaron parte en el encuentro. La Comunidad de Chipaso, la de Carmel, la de Kapiri, la Comunidad de la Casa de Formación de Balaka y la Comunidad de Nyungwe.

En definitiva, este encuentro ha supuesto un paso hacia adelante para fortalecer las relaciones fraternas y enriquecernos al compartir las experiencias religiosas. Esperamos que constituya un impulso en la construcción de la vida de la Delegación y de la Provincia.
THE ONGOING FORMATION SESSION
OF ALL THE DISCALCED CARMELITE FRIARS OF MALAWI
After having the annual assembly in January 2024, the Provincial Delegation of Malawi had another important moment of session from 11th March to 15th March, 2024. The session took place in the central region of Malawi, the capital city, at a retreat Centre owned by the Carmelite Sisters, in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe.
The session was facilitated by friar Ajay Oswald Nazareth, OCD, from our Province and it was presented under the theme “Friendship of God According to St. Teresa of Avila; How to be liberated from Attachments and How to Accompany People in this Process”.
During these days, we discussed a number of important elements of our life as Carmelites such as the friendship with God, detachment, the inner freedom, humility, charity and how we can accompany people in our apostolate.
All the five communities that comprise the delegation of Malawi attended the session: Chiphaso community, Carmel community, Kapiri community, Balaka Formation House community and Nyungwe community.

The session created a precious moment to strength our fraternity and sharing of our religious experiences. We are hopeful that the session will have a great positive impact on the Delegation and the Province.
